SR Backend Developer

Job description

The primary objective of this position is to develop robust, scalable, and efficient backend solutions for a platform or product in the media industry. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex backend systems using Node.js and other key technologies such as AWS, RabbitMQ, Redis, and both relational and non-relational databases. Additionally, the candidate is expected to have a solid understanding of event-driven architecture, microservices, and modern design patterns, ensuring that the solutions are highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and easy to maintain.

Who you are

  • Experience and knowledge in the media industry.

  • Having worked at major companies such as Despegar, MercadoLibre, Globant, etc., and/or large product-based companies is a plus.

  • Solid fundamentals in software development, architecture, and design patterns. Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture and microservices. Knowledge of Clean Architectures and DDD. Designing robust, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems to handle thousands of concurrent requests. Ability to write high-quality, tested, readable, and highly maintainable code. Solid experience in API development (express / nestjs, etc.). Experience with cloud development, ideally AWS but could also be Google Cloud, Azure, etc. (RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, ECS), Node, JavaScript, RabbitMQ, Redis, React. Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases. Experience writing unit and integration tests. Advanced English.

What technical requirements are a MUST?

  • 4/5 years of experience developing with programming languages and backend-oriented solutions. (Varies between SSR - SR seniority)

  • Of these, at least the last 3 years of experience with NodeJS.

What technical requirements are a PLUS?

  • Experience in frontend development, especially with ReactJS.
