Job description

At Mindway AI, we specialise in artificial intelligence software that helps identify and prevent problem gambling. Gambling addiction is a widespread, global challenge and our software solutions, GameScanner and Gamalyze, support gambling operators across the world in detecting patterns and assessing gambling problems among their users – and ultimately prevent them from developing gambling addiction. Mindway AI is a spin-out from Aarhus University based on research in problem gambling addiction, neuroscience and neuroimaging.

As a third-party software provider, we proudly partner with some of the largest gambling operators and regulators globally. Our software operates seamlessly across leading cloud environments in 38 countries over four different continents - detecting gambling behavior of around 8 million active players each month. With rapid growth and evolving requirements, we continuously rise to the challenge of delivering scalable, reliable, and innovative solutions.

Your role will include:

  • Building Scalable Systems: Design, develop, and maintain fullstack solutions that perform reliably in both SaaS and on-prem environments.

  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Drive the implementation of rigorous testing and quality processes to ensure bug-free deployments, especially critical for on-premises deployments where debugging can be challenging.

  • Collaboration & Innovation: Work within cross-functional Squads that embody the startup mentality, emphasizing decentralized decision-making and self-organisation.

  • Adapting to Diversity: Develop and optimize solutions that can adapt to varying customer setups, including cloud providers and databases.

  • Pragmatic get-shit-done approach: A pragmatic mindset with strong troubleshooting skills and an eagerness to continuously ship new funcionality.

Job requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in fullstack development, with a strong expertise in Python.

  • Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Deployment Expertise: Hands-on experience with high-stakes customer deployments, including both SaaS and on-premises environments.

  • Quality-First Mindset: A track record of implementing robust testing practices, including unit tests, integration tests, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Data-Centric Approach: Familiarity with integrating machine learning models and handling large-scale data.

We offer:

  • Purpose-Driven Work: Be part of a team that tackles one of the world’s most challenging issues of mitigating the risk of gambling harm and addiction by building tools that support people to maintain control of their lives.

  • Diverse Technical Exposure: Gain hands-on experience with a wide variety of tools and engage with Tech proficient people from all over the globe.

  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy flexible work arrangements, including remote options.
