Job description

The Revenue Analyst will be responsible for analysing and reporting on revenue streams with a primary focus on programmatic advertising. This role involves producing detailed weekly reports for the programmatic team to optimise ad performance and providing monthly revenue reports for the finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.


Key responsibilities:

 Weekly Programmatic Reporting:
    ○ Prepare and deliver weekly revenue reports to the programmatic team, focusing on ad performance, key programmatic metrics, and partner performance.
    ○ Collaborate with the programmatic team to provide insights into revenue drivers and opportunities for optimization based on performance data.
    ○ Conduct variance analysis to highlight any discrepancies between actual performance and forecasts, presenting insights to the programmatic team.

Monthly Finance Reporting:
    ○ Compile, reconcile, and analyse monthly revenue data from all programmatic monetization channels to provide accurate, timely reports to the finance team.
    ○ Assist in month-end close processes related to revenue recognition.
    ○ Support the finance team with ad-hoc revenue analysis and assist in quarterly and annual financial planning.

Data Analysis & Insights
:
    ○ Utilise tools like Google Ad Manager, Excel, Google Spreadsheets, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Looker Studio) to extract, analyse, and present revenue data.
    ○ Analyse KPIs such as revenue, eCPM, fill rate, and inventory usage across platforms and partners to optimise performance and provide actionable recommendations.
    ○ Regularly review programmatic revenue data to identify and share useful data to optimise inventory or demand sources.

Collaboration & Communication
:
    ○ Work closely with the programmatic team to align revenue goals and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
    ○ Communicate findings, trends, and opportunities to both programmatic and finance teams in a clear and actionable manner.
    ○ Ensure data consistency and accuracy between the finance, operations, and sales teams.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field.

● 1-2 years of experience in a revenue analysis or reporting role, preferably within the digital media or ad tech industry.

● Proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation techniques.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

● Ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner to various stakeholders.

● Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:

● Familiarity with programmatic advertising and ad tech platforms.

● Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for reporting and data analysis.

● Knowledge of financial reporting and month-end close processes.
