You will...

  • Lead and manage the month-end close and consolidation process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.

  • Oversee the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account analyses, and financial reports.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and documentation for month-end close.

  • Supervise and support the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Prepare and present management reports, including financial statements, variance analysis, budget analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Provide insights based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze data for management reporting.

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

  • Analyze financial trends and variances, and provide forecasts and recommendations for financial performance improvements.

  • Support the FP&A function by providing accurate and timely financial data and analysis.

  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging professional growth and development.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in accounting operations.

  • Implement best practices and streamline accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Job requirements

You have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Masters is a plus)

  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) license and/or MBA is highly desirable

  • 3-5 years public accounting experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills to develop and implement improvements and recommendations

  • Problem solving mindset

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives and staff at all levels, as well as mentor and lead team members

  • Experience with Quickbooks and Microsoft Business Central is a plus
