We are looking for someone with a solid toolbox within accounting who is eager to take the Finance function to the next level by developing the area of financial controlling. Then you now have the opportunity to join Better Collective as our new Financial Controller!

In the role of Financial Controller, you have a significant responsibility to assist the business in obtaining valid data for managing its operations. We continuously work on developing our reporting, and in the processes leading up to these reporting. Your responsibilities include preparation and review of reconciliations, ensuring data validity leading to financial reporting, maintenance of internal controls, as well as monthly and yearly closing processes in close collaboration with the Group Finance team and Shared Service Center.


Your main responsibilities

  • Controlling balance accounts and accounting entries

  • Preparation and review of reconciliations

  • Consolidation

  • Ongoing reporting to public authorities

  • Preparation of quarterly reports and annual financial statements

  • Review of reports from subsidiaries

  • Development and maintenance of controls

  • Process optimization and continuous updating of process descriptions

  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders

  • Supporting with ad hoc tasks


Job requirements

Our expectation to you

  • You have 2-5 years of experience in a similar role in a finance department or at an auditing firm.

  • You have a relevant education – a master's degree in economics or another relevant economic field.

  • You have a business-oriented mindset with a natural curiosity, as well as a flair for streamlining and automating processes.

  • You have a strong toolbox within accounting and finance.

  • You have an understanding of accounting principles – familiarity with IFRS would be advantageous but not mandatory.

  • You pay attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture.

  • You have a flair for IT, especially Excel.

  • You are structured and analytically strong with a good ability to communicate.

  • You complete your tasks – on time and with quality.
