Job description

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team

Are you passionate about building solid data foundations? At Better Collective, we’re looking for a Data Engineer to help us take our data platform to the next level. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the development and maintenance of our core data infrastructure, making sure data flows smoothly, securely, and reliably across the company.

While the role is focused on paid media, you’ll collaborate closely with other domains as well — and if you're excited about working with modern technologies and contributing to a growing, cross-functional data platform, you’ll feel right at home here.

Innovation is a big part of our culture, so if you're excited about working with modern technologies and shaping the future of our data platform, you’ll feel right at home here.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines that move and transform data from different sources.

  • Help manage our cloud data infrastructure to ensure it’s secure, scalable, and efficient.

  • Collaborate with data analysts and business teams to ensure data is accessible and reliable.

  • Contribute to best practices for version control, testing, and monitoring of data systems.

  • Stay current with new tools and technologies, and bring fresh ideas to the table.

  • Work with other engineers and learn from experienced colleagues.

Job requirements

Our expectations to you

  • Solid experience with cloud data tools (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar).

  • Strong SQL skills and experience writing Python for data transformation and automation.

  • Familiarity with tools like dbt, Dagster, Airflow, or similar for data modeling and orchestration.

  • Understanding of scalable system design and data performance considerations.

  • A structured and hands-on approach to problem-solving and development.

  • Interest in working with modern data infrastructure in a collaborative environment.

  • Experience with machine learning pipelines is a bonus, but not required.

Not sure you meet every single requirement? That’s okay—your unique experience might be exactly what we’re looking for.

Your colleagues say you

  • Break down complex problems into manageable parts

  • Are dependable and take initiative

  • Are practical and thoughtful when solving technical challenges
