Job description

We are looking for a Data Analyst Assistant with strong numerical and problem-solving skills who will support data collection, market analysis, and competitive intelligence to drive informed decision-making within our Group Strategy and Business Divisions.

THE ROLE

Data Analyst Assistant in the Search and Markets Analytics Team is an ideal role for those looking to start a career in data analysis. The role will primarily involve low-level and maintenance tasks, and ad hoc support requests from various stakeholders across all levels and locations of the company. This position offers a strong foundation in data processes and operations, serving as a stepping stone to more advanced roles within the team, depending on performance and development.

AS OUR DATA ANALYST ASSISTANT, YOU WILL:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources.

  • Prepare reports and presentations based on analytical findings.

  • Maintain and update databases, dashboards, and other analytical tools.

  • Support senior analysts in conducting market research and forecasting.

  • Assist in troubleshooting data discrepancies and reporting issues.

  • Understand and clarify requests before executing tasks.

Job requirements

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Interest in growing into a data analytics career

  • Intermediate Excel/Google Sheets skills

  • Vlookup, query, filter function, nested functions, and IF statements

  • Beginner SQL knowledge (or willingness to learn)

  • Familiarity with structured datasets

  • Student or recent graduate in a related field (Economics, Business, Data Science, or a related field)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Interested in data visualization

CONSIDERED A PLUS, BUT NOT A REQUIREMENT:

  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, or research roles.

  • Personal projects

  • Understanding of statistical and financial analysis techniques.

  • Interested in learning Python, Tableau, and business intelligence tools.
