You Are… 

Ready to join a team dedicated to elevating Better Collective’s brand presence across its digital properties. You will be responsible for ideating, creating, implementing, and reporting on digital public relations campaigns aimed at acquiring high-value backlinks to Better Collective websites.

You will...

  • Ideate and create PR campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate high-quality backlinks across Better Collective North America brands: Action Network, RotoGrinders, Sports Handle, Scores + Odds, VegasInsider, Canada Sports Betting

  • Provide regular topic recommendations for new digital PR campaigns based on industry and competitive research

  • Write relevant and entertaining content to be pitched to third parties for link building purposes

  • Use tools such as Muck Rack to build an outreach contact list of journalists, media sites, bloggers, and other relevant parties to secure campaign pitch opportunities

  • Track and report on individual PR campaigns to showcase their effectiveness in acquiring backlinks to BC sites

  • Work across SEO, content, and design teams to ensure quality deliverables

  • Stay “in-tune” with the world of sports to identify and capitalize on breaking news and trends to ensure that BC stays ahead of the competition

  • Support Public Relations Outreach Manager as needed.

  • Work US hours at least 2x a week (For the UK: 11am - 7pm or 12pm - 8pm)

Job requirements

You have…

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Digital PR - either in an agency or in-house environment

  • Experience of different Digital PR campaign types - from reactive to hero campaigns

  • Previous experience of executing Digital PR within the US market, and an understanding of how the US media landscape functions

  • A strong passion for sports and digital public relations & communications

  • Data-driven mindset to utilize trends and campaign results to inform future decisions

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work across multiple teams and digital brands

  • Familiarity with industry tools such as Ahrefs, Moz, Buzzstream, Muck Rack, Majestic, and others is a plus

  • Basic understanding of SEO and Content Marketing best practices, and what core principles of Digital PR are

  • Passionate about staying up to date on trends and relevant stories across the sports and wider news world

  • Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and flexibility required to be effective in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment of digital marketing and SEO

  • Native or highly proficient English language skills
