Job description

We are seeking a candidate for a full position in finance and accounts i.e. “Accounts Executive”. This position requires good knowledge and experience in Tally and proficiency in MS Excel with basic knowledge in Taxation and Compliances to support the finance & accounts operations of Better Collective’s India office including annual and monthly management of bookkeeping, taxation, compliances and reporting and its allied functions in collaboration with small size team and accounting firm (outsourced support).

Roles & Responsibilities:

Accounting & MIS:

  • Maintaining monthly/annual bookkeeping in Tally as per Indian GAAP and ERP system.

  • Maintaining accounting records and filing system for records and compliances.

  • Managing Accounts receivable and Accounts Payable

  • Supporting the processes related to monthly payroll, incentives, leave accruals, reimbursement & F&F.

  • Preparing regular accounting MIS reports.

Taxation and Statutory Compliances:

  • Supporting GST compliances for the Company – Monthly and annual GST returns and input reconciliation.

  • Managing TDS – Computation, Payment, return review, 26AS Reconciliation review, Form 16/16A etc.

  • Liaising with consultant to prepare & finalize corporate annual Income tax and other annual/quarterly/monthly returns.

  • Liaising with consultants for other occasional taxation matters.

  • Coordinating for timely completion of Statutory, Transfer Pricing, Tax & GST Audit conducted by outside firms

  • Supporting RBI, ROC and Secretarial compliances – FLA (Foreign Liabilities Assets), AOC- 4, MGT-07, Documentations for BM/AGM etc.

Banking and Office Administration:

  • Liaison with the Bank for the routine bank matters.

  • Supporting Vendor Management and Employee Records.

Job requirements

Educational Qualifications and Skills:

  • CA(Inter) with bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance from reputed institute with 3+ years of experience in the accounting domain.

  • Good verbal & written English communication skills.

  • Proficient in working in MS Office and Tally.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Basic knowledge of statutory compliances and taxation knowledge.

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
