Job description

As a Junior Compliance Specialist you will be part of our Compliance Research & Strategy in Niš office and help with updating and development of compliance standards and policies across multiple jurisdictions. You will be working most closely with the subjects of advertising, Intellectual Property and gambling law. You will assist with research into third party & social media platforms policies compliance. You will report to manager located in Belgrade, Serbia.

Job responsibilities

  •  Conducts regulatory research as assigned by the Head of Compliance Research & Strategy and Senior Head of Regulatory Compliance (“Compliance management”) to support the business activities of the company into the areas of gambling, advertising, Intellectual Property, and consumer protection;

  • Monitors regulatory developments in the markets assigned by Compliance management according to the internal market split (“Assigned Markets”) and ensures to update Compliance management and relevant business stakeholders of all changes that may impact BC operations;

  • Performs regular risk assessments as assigned by the Compliance management to help the organization understand compliance risk, scope, trend and exposure tied with company’s activities in the Assigned Markets;

  • Educates employees across the business on compliance regulations and the impact of non-compliance on the organization in the Assigned Markets, through development of internal guidelines and participation in compliance trainings per need;

  • Records the research findings properly and following up with Compliance management to ensure deficiencies are rectified;

  • Assists in the gathering of information internally in response to requests by regulatory organizations;

  • Assists in the gathering of information internally in response to requests by the Compliance Committee and/or Director of Regulatory Compliance.

 

Job requirements

  • A degree in Law (specialization in Commercial, International or IP law is preferred but not essential)

  • Fluency in English with strong writing skills

  • Previous experience working in compliance, legal research, and/or in a corporate environment is preferred but not necessary

  • Previous experience in media, iGaming and/or advertising industry will be deemed as advantageous
