Mid-Senior Web Developer

Better Collective is seeking a Web Developer with experience in WordPress or plain PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to join our team in Thessaloniki. In this role, you will work alongside experienced developers to help build and maintain our websites. You will be responsible for developing and implementing new features, as well as troubleshooting and fixing issues that arise.

Office Location: Better Collective Thessaloniki, Greece

Hours: Full time

Work model: Hybrid (2-3 days a week work with us in the office)

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, well-documented PHP code
• Write clean, efficient, and well-organised JavaScript code and HTML, CSS
• Convert mockups to fully functional, pixel perfect websites & app
• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes & plugins
• Optimise and maintain React/node js apps
• Implement new features and functionality
• Troubleshoot and debug issues
• Collaborate with team members to identify and solve problems
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 1-2 years professional experience as a Web Developer
• Knowledge of WordPress development and customization
• Strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Ideal If:

• Experience with Wordpress theme/widget customization
• Experience with Typescript and React/Node js projects
• Knowledge of Bootstrap/Tailwind css frameworks
• Experience with Mysql, MongoDb
• Knowledge of Docker, Vagrant containers
