Job description

We are on the lookout for a Data Protection Specialist to join our Regulatory Compliance team and support the maintenance of our Privacy Program and execution of data protection requirements. 


Location: Lisbon


THE ROLE

  • Researching global data protection standards, with a particular focus on GDPR compliance, and relevant requirements under local laws

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of data protection processes, policies, and procedures, based on research findings and practical and commercial requirements

  • Supporting the Company’s GDPR readiness, in particular, readiness for an audit by the national data protection authority

  • Advising stakeholders on data protection requirements and compliance issues related to projects and campaigns

  • Supporting further development and maintenance of the Company’s Privacy Program and execution of data protection requirements (ROPA, Privacy by Design, DPIAs, and others)

  • Initiating and monitoring the conclusions of data processing agreements and related negotiations

  • Conducting DPIAs and TIAs

  • Advising on the due diligence and integration of the Company M&A targets into the data protection processes of the Better Collective Group

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of previous professional experience in the implementation of legal and operational data protection requirements, GDPR and other relevant legislative requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Law

  • Experience in information security would be considered an advantage

  • CIPP/E certificate would be a big plus

  • Fluent in English, good knowledge of business English and legal terminology

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Solid communication skills
